Tools of the trade
Heres some things you need, or may want while learning wicca. There is no "quik" study or fast answer, it takes a lifetime of learning and practicing. Remember wicca is not just a religion, its a lifestyle.
A) Book Of Shadows
This can made from a simple notebook to parchment paper binded, you put all your thoughts, spells, rituals, dreams, ect. inside it. its for your use only!
A double edged knife for ritual use
A witches broom to "sweep" away negative energy
An incense burner
A ritual goblet for holding wine, juice, or water.
Made of cast iron and comes in a multitude of different sizes. It represents the goddess. uses include holding water, fire, candles, ect.
I would suggest you do alot of reading and researching. Not just wicca, but anything else of religious value, or the occult.
Generally used for circle casting, consecrating tools & other purposes.
Can be rung at specif points in rituals, or invoking.
Symbolizes the bonds of love & responsibility. normally used in covens, but some spells require them.
K) Alter cloths
used on the alter, comes in varieties of colors and designs. Can be used for specific sabbats or rites.
L) White-handled knife
Used for actual cutting purposes inside or outside the circle.
This is where you do your magick and devotion. an alter is a must have. you can use anything, from a tree stump to your dresser! it can be round square, or rectangle, its up to you. you dont have to set it up a certain way,but have a reason why you put the stones in the east, maybe in your location thats where its best. you can make earth south, and air north-you may put stones in south, and some feathers in north. some say theres a particular way of doing it, but most dont, including me. after all, you make the magick, not your alter.
